Looks

Maine Coons are one of the largest breeds of domestic cat.  They are best known for their tipped ears with lynx like fur and heavy set chests with large ruffs and longer hair on their back legs - their breeches.  They are officially semi-long haired and come in many patterns and colours including solids, tabbies, tortoiseshell and smoke in red, white, brown, blue & silver.  They reach maturity at around 4 years of age.

Temperament 

Maine Coons make excellent pets, they are good natured, quiet, often laid back & always fun loving.  They are often good with their paws and sometimes feed themselves or play with water using their paws. 

Care

Maine Coons should be groomed twice a week but this isn't particularly difficult, just watch out for hair on the tummy and chest that can get tangled.
